RSGT emphasizes and contributes to the support of the importance of Corporate Social Responsibility programs in order to put the terminal on the proper way to manage its growth and reach its goals.
The company adheres to the principle of Corporate Social Responsibility,taking into account the interests of all stakeholders including their employees, customers, local authorities and communities. Programs/activities are being implemented in different aspects in which RSGT operates and these programs/activities are aimed at supporting the social, cultural and economic development of company.
RSGT’s main focus of its CSR activities fall under three main categories;

We consider honest, constructive collaboration with all our stakeholders to be an important part of our dynamic development in the local and international business community and our contribution to sustainable social development.
A responsible attitude towards the environment is one of the key components of our corporate social responsibility approach and an important factor in the stable, long-term development of RSGT.
Responsibility towards the environment is at the forefront of the company’s investment programs. Investments in key projects which help to protect the environment are mainly represented by the construction of supporting cleaning Jeddah sea and environment protection activities as;
RSGT initiated to support the first project of CSR events within the Jeddah Islamic Port, through the rehabilitation and renovation of the “Cultural Center” within the Coast Guard week under the theme of “Safety of the Marine and Wild Environment” in conjunction with the Association of Saudi Divers, held in Jeddah Corniche 9-10 Saturday 10 May 2014.
We are committed in RSGT to work with businesses,community groups, to improve the place we live at, and do business byimplementing environmental recycling programs that benefit our community and company both socially and economically.
RSGT has established a new Recycling Program in glass and plastic.New recycling bins were purchased and distributed among all RSGT’s buildings. One of the recycling company’s agreement terms with us is buying the materials used in the recycling program in exchange for small amounts which goes in RSGT’s safe.
It is an important objective of RSGT to maintain and support local sport and cultural events in the regions in which it operates. The company’s sponsorship programs are also aimed at preserving local historical heritage;
HEALTH & SAFETY
With the activity level, in both bulk and container operations, at RSGT continuously increasing, Health and Safety remain a main priority and an ongoing challenge for the company. RSGT continues to work on installing a safety culture in all aspects of our company and ensures that all incidents and accidents are evaluated with the highest priority.
RSGT adheres to three major Health and Safety principles: providing safe labor conditions, involving employees in safety rules and policies, and building a safe behavior culture. Each of these principles includes special tools or detailed procedures, such as:
Based on the management’s concerns about the safety of everyone within RSGT, and during the period of Middle East Respiratory Syndrome Corona virus (MERC.CoV), a health committee was formed to look after this issue. The initiatives included an awareness lecture given by a specialized doctor from King Fahad Hospital, distribution of sanitizers to all RSGT employees, JIP and customs, printing posters and banners all around RSGT and JIP.
“RSGT Health day” aims to raise general health and safety awareness including precisions of corona virus and offers Flu and Meningitis Vaccination for all employees. In this regard, the CCD made an agreement with the Ministry of Health office in JIP to provide such =services to all RSGT employees. Thisevent is planned to be an annual event with wider scope of CSR initiatives.
EDUCATION NAD PEOPLE
PEOPLE; RSGT employs over 1200 people and we consider our employees to be one of the company’s greatest assets. RSGT strives to create the conditions to stimulate and realize the creative potential of its employees and shape a corporate culture based on professionalism, personal initiative and responsibility.
Key areas of CSR activity in the employment sphere include employee basic training, support for working mothers and their children, catering and recreation activities for workers, employee development and professional training, incentives for employee improvement, insurance and many other kinds of benefits.
RSGT relays on the following fundamental principles to look after their employees adequately in the long-term:
2014 Marine Scholarship (Internal Program)
This on job training program in coordination with Arab Academy for Science, Technology, Maritime and Transport aims to attract young Saudi talents from marine and port field.10 students graduated and started their coop with RSGT in 2015
EDUCATION; RSGT cooperates with different local community organizations in the social sphere where it is based on strategic programs in areas such as supporting kids with special needs, training and employment, health care and the support of culture and sport, as well as socially or physically vulnerable people.
IRSGT signed a one year period of a Memorandum of Understanding with Help Center Providing maintenance support and help to the center. A partial sponsorship program is offered to a student in education and training. Another area of supporting the center is providing sun shades for the safety and health of the Help Center students

We encourage all parts of our business to take a proactive and business-driven approach to donations and community investments.
Among Red Sea Gateway Terminal initiatives in the delivery of social corporate responsibility and under the umbrella of interest in the community; and as a guarantee to continue providing strong support commensurate with the needs of different communities, an agreement has been concluded yesterday between both RSGT and Help Center. It was amid rapturous receptions and recognition submitted by students’ welcome-program and students with special needs for the efforts that RSGT management is providing in material, emotional and mental support to them.
This agreement contributes to the development of society and the rehabilitation of the workforces; which includes scholarships to advance the quality of education for students with special needs and provide the right environment for them to be motivated and progress to make better production. It is also meant to spread cultural awareness of recycling and how to maintain a healthy environment and living places.
