“A Vital Regional Presence, with Ambitious Global Plans”

Since beginning operations now more than a decade ago, RSGT has grown into the largest terminal operator in Saudi Arabia, and one of the fastest-growing logistics service providers in the Middle East Region, but we have bigger plans yet for the future.

RSGT located at Jeddah Islamic Port, one of the 40 busiest container ports in the world. In 2019 alone RSGT’s container volume increased by more than 31% over the year prior, making it the largest logistics gateway in Saudi Arabia’s western region. It is the only facility at the port able to accommodate Ultra-Large Container Ships (ULCS) of up to 20,000 TEU capacity, and we are just getting started.

A new 30-year concession agreement has been signed between RSGT and the Government of Saudi Arabia which calls for an investment of USD 1.7 Billion up to 2050 in infrastructure and equipment. We are also expanding the scale of our operations to include the adjacent Northern Container Terminal. The proposed infrastructure investment is be part of a comprehensive plan for upgrading and adding berth capacity, while modernizing the terminal yard and support facilities, with the latest in leading-edge technology and software . The new concession is a key component in the ongoing development of Jeddah Islamic Port as the strategic gateway to Saudi Arabia, and the preferred hub for the Red Sea and East Africa, and as an increasingly important link in the global logistics chain. We are proud that our expanded and modernized port facilities will emerge as an even more powerful catalyst for new economic development in Saudi Arabia, and the Red Sea region.

On behalf of all of us at RSGT, I express our thanks to our partners, stakeholders and customers for helping to make this ambitious plan for growth a dynamic reality.
